Calm, Confident, Connected Parenting

Moving from overwhelm to calm

It is ironic that in an era where we have unprecedent access to information and 24 hour a day connectivity that we have never felt more isolated and alone. As a parent you know those questions that keep you awake “How do I know if my child is OK?”, “How can I help my child be happy?” "Why won't they sleep!" and “where is the time for me? For my self-care?”.

It used to be the elders in the family and community were revered for their wisdom, and now we are just as, if not more likely to, ask advice from Siri or Alexa.  But they don't know you, or understand your situation.

If you are busy and find yourself overwhelmed with information, yet still lacking in authentic knowledge, here is my commitment to you.

When you contact me you will receive positive, practical, tailored information and support.
When you speak to me, I will listen. Together we will create connection, confidence and calm.

Following are some of the things that can happen in your life, and your child's life, when you embrace Calm, Confidence and Connection.

Calm
  • Know what it feels like to be relaxed and peaceful.
  • Make decisions and act from a place of stillness.
  • See the beauty in the ordinary.
  • Be grateful.
  • Practice acceptance and mindfulness.
  • Stop FOMO

Confidence
  • Stop second guessing and apologising for your lifestyle choices, your looks, your education, your weight, the way you raise your children.
  • Own your strengths, skills, experiences and desires.
  • Say 'no' - and mean it.
  • Stop bullies controlling you.
  • Say yes to opportunities instead of giving excuses like - "I'm too old", "I'm too inexperienced", "I'm too young",  "I can't because.....".
  • Speak up when it is important to you.
  • Go after your dreams.

Connection
Through reducing isolation we can create a better future for ourselves, our family and our planet.  Research increasingly shows links between connection, living longer and being happier.

So how do you do this?  How do you find calm, confidence and connection without selling your children or leaving home, even if you hate the thought of meditating, eating kale and have no time to socialise?

Now, I don't promise results.  I don't know your level of commitment and your personal circumstances.  But I can promise you the strategies that The RoadMap to Personal Wellbeing Program for Busy Mums includes, are everyday, practical, positive strategies that are backed with scientific research.
