Peer Mentoring

Recently I was involved in a small peer mentoring group.

As a solo practitioner, It has been a great source of support, accountability and friendship for me over this time. This is not peer supervision, and we don't talk about clients (not from a clinical perspective). It is more about how we are going, our plans and what's happening in our business.

Groups such as these help alleviate isolation – therefore reducing the likelihood of burnout. They are perfect for early career psychologists and/or solo practitioners.

In the group you will have people who support you - leading to increased confidence, a place of validation and normalisation of the challenges psychologists face. It can help extend your network and provide growth opportunities.

It is a great source of peer feedback for many things including your marketing, business work, and, ethical dilemmas.

What I provide in this group
  • Moderating a private Facebook Group.
  • Running zoom calls weekly.
  • These will be part information based on what you would like me to talk about, and partly to act as an accountability check in.I will be a gentle facilitator - but it will be your group. Topics can include preventing burnout, working with Imposter Syndrome, getting started on social media, setting work life boundaries, managing ethical dilemmas in the workplace, finding your 'niche' etc.
  • A weekly focus
  • Accountability challenges

Who is this group for?
  • You will be a fierce supporter of other people in the group.
  • You will look to support, challenge, commiserate, rejoice and give.
  • You will have an open mind and be accepting of others goals.

Who is this group not for?
  • If you are lacking any sort of direction or goals, this isn't for you, yet.
  • If you are at this stage, you would probably benefit more from some initial individual support, which I am happy to speak to you about.

The nitty gritty
The group runs for 3 months.
The cost is currently $97 a month.

The next intake will be on the 1st July 2021.  The waiting list is currently open.  Register your interest through the contact form below to receive weekly support tips and strategies around burnout prevention and self-care, and early access to the Facebook Group..
